  • "My heart started racing, not the bad kind of heart racing, like I'm going to die. But the good kind of heart racing, like, Hello, can I help you with something? If not, please step aside because I'm about to kick the shit out of life."
- Where'd You Go Bernadette?

Please step aside. I am ready to go.💪🏻 The very best thing about this book is Bernadette herself. She's lovable and relatable, hilarious and real. She isn't perfect but she's trying. She accomplished so much so fast and now what? What do the next chapters look like? No matter the answer, she'll figure it out.

Although I'm usually a book over movie person, I did like what they edited out of the book and as always, @cate_blanchettofficial killed it.

Verdict:
⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
  • "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
1 Corinthians 13:13

The greatest of these is l o v e.

Reminder: love yourself. Love each other. Love this planet. Love is our renewable resource. So give it away often and well and we will all be better for it.💜💜💜
  • "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game."
-Babe Ruth

Had so much fun at what was probably my last baseball game of the season last night. Nothing like a night game sitting in the all you can eat section with friends willing to dance to be on the jumbo tron.

But this quote up there is one of my life quotes that constantly comes to mind. I'll let you borrow it in case you need an extra dose of brave this Wednesday.😘💪🏻 Also, this picture was from a game earlier this summer. Incredible to be at Dodgers stadium with them playing the Rockies. My two home teams. 💜
  • Listen up!🎧 It's a Monday. Which means a fresh start. You can crush this week. You can make a change or a difference. I'm learning that the fastest way to do that is to l i s t e n.

Listen to those around you. Listen to what your body is telling you. Listen to what you need. Listen for how you can help. Listen for someone's point of view.

The first step in getting where you want to go is to listen. It sounds simple but if you can listen before reacting, you'll get much much farther.

And if you need some badass babes to listen to, go to the blog and click on the podcast article. @hilaryrushford @jennakutcher @jenhatmaker @oprah are exactly the women you should stop and listen to. Take in others wisdom and you'll be all the better for it.👭 Happy Monday! Let's kill it this week.💪🏻
  • Salty hair, sandy toes, and a sunkissed nose.🏖 Oh and an ocean that we all three simulatenous were a-salt-ed by.🌊 The three of us thought we'd be brave and go into the ocean. We can get past the waves breaking. We thought.

But the ocean won, tossing us in two waves like we were towels in a dryer.🙃 We lost a scrunchie, a hair tie, and almost our tops.

It was one of the most fun parts of the day.

Okay, not the feeling like we're going to drown part. But in the memory that was created.

Life so many times is like the ocean. It's beautiful but unpredictable. So many times we think we're prepared to sail the great seas but it's in the storms where we find out what our boat is made of.⛵ We are the captain of our own ship. Whether we make it through the storm or not so often is not just because of us but because of the people helping us make it through. Someone to raise your sails and to help you navigate.⚓ My best life advice is to find your people and treat them well. Know them and love them. Meet them in their mess with grace. Pray for them and with them.💜 It is so much easier to navigate these waves with people by your side. They are the ones God has given me to learn His lessons with and to celebrate His gifts with. People are God's gifts to us so we don't go at it alone. & if that's not something to be grateful for, I don't know what is
😍

If you are goin through it and need prayer, always feel free to DM me. This little online platform is a community. So let's put the people back in this algorithm and show up for each other. Just know I'm here for your storms ⚡ and your sunsets.🌅
  • Scout. Scouters. Scoot. Scoots. Scoots MaGoots. Scouters Reginald III. Scouterooski. Potato. Poopers. Poops. Pooks. Pookie. 🐶

That's right. I'm THAT dog mom. Who gives their dog multiple names. Also, I have friends who think it's a fun fact that Scout has 6 beds and the one he's in the most is mine. 🤷‍♀️ No shame here!

The best part of each and every day is waking up or coming home to this sweet face. His personality is bigger then one belonging to a dog. I would say he's more people then dog but I wouldn't want to insult him 🙃

Your turn! Does your fur baby have multiple names?! Please tell me I'm not the only one 😋
